Layers of
Impermanence
We try and leave our mark wherever we go.
I find this intentional scarring of our surrounding landscape fascinating. Whether official, or unofficial, people take time to craft and carve their mark in the landscape. As we are drawn inexorably to entropy, the question of what remains, and how long it is retained in the collective consciousness is uncertain. From the scale of statues and buildings, down to the graffiti, or even pasting a flyer on a street corner. From the moment these pieces arrive, they begin to fade and dissolve, the underlying material begins to regain a foothold and integrate itself into the artwork.
Another layer of impermanence is my attempt to capture and display them here. They exist as long as I keep paying my website bills, as long as my web design company maintains their servers.
After I am gone, what remains?
