Rue Morgue is the world’s longest-running horror magazine, and since late 2019 I’ve been the editor and motion graphics designer behind its YouTube channel. The job is to take a brand with deep genre identity and extend that look and feel into weekly video — title sequences, editing, and a motion graphics package that all has to feel like Rue Morgue.

 

119 videos in now and counting, across everything from B-movie retrospectives to effects-heavy features. It’s the kind of long-term relationship I value most: enough trust and shared shorthand that the brand stays consistent without me having to relearn it every time. Cut in Premiere Pro, motion graphics built in After Effects.
